Edith Y. Kang DDS, MPH, MS
Dr. Kang, orthodontist and practice owner, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Case Western University, earning degrees in chemistry and anthropology, before completing her DDS at the Ohio State University.
After dental school, Dr. Kang completed a hospital-based dental residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. To enhance her role in her patients’ oral health, Dr. Kang earned a Master of Public Health degree in Health Behavior Health Promotion before obtaining her Master of Science and certificate in the specialty of Orthodontics.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Kang supervised pediatric dental residents Columbus Nationwide Children’s Hospital as an attending doctor. Dr. Kang regularly attends continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments and research in orthodontics and has, herself, published research in journals including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Journal of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kang lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and child where she follows the Buckeyes and Cleveland sports while caring for their three rescue cats (yes, she brushes their teeth daily) and her young son. Dr. Kang also participates in a trap-alter-release program to help control the feral cat population in the community.
Dr. Kang often jokes that when she retires, she’ll go back to Ohio State one last time because of love for animals, and become a veterinarian. We’re not sure she’s joking.

As your patient care coordinator, Hannah will schedule your appointments and help with financial and insurance questions. With her kind approach, she will make you feel right at home in our office. Hannah enjoys photography and spending time with her husband and cat.

Orthodontic assistant
Nicole has more than 12 years of experience both as a dental assistant and orthodontic assistant. She can put any anxious patient at ease with her friendly personality and ability to explain the steps of your orthodontic treatment. In her free time, Nicole enjoys working out and spending time with her husband, three sons, and two dogs.
Mike
Dr. Kang’s Husband
Mike volunteers his time to help Dr. Kang behind the scenes and fills in where needed. You may see him at the front desk welcoming patients or working on office, building, equipment, and technology maintenance and improvements.

Wide open spaces with high ceilings and exposed beams create a comfortable, cozy home-like environment. Large picture windows let in natural light and provide a wide view of Dr. Kang’s bird feeders, making our office feel like a calm, peaceful oasis.
